Abstract: The present essay attempts at analyzing selected neologisms derived from the surnames of Polish
politicians. The aim of the essay is to offer an overview of
particular situations in which such neologisms arise as
well as to explore the implications they carry. Undoubtedly, this is an area of lexis which is continuously expanding
along with the changing political scene in Poland
