Abstract: The paper reviews and classifies modern studies covered by the field of linguistic postsovietology. The field comprises 1) researches into Post-Soviet Russian political communication; 2) comparative investigations of Soviet and Post-Soviet political discourse; 3) studies of Russian political discourse in comparison with transitional discourses in other countries; 4) papers on Soviet political communication published after the collapse of the USSR; 5) researches into political discourses of Ex-Soviet States
