Abstract: The paper touches upon the problems of language images of the Ukrainians. The analysis of the images is based on the material of the Russian press. It must be noted that two types of images of the Ukrainians are analyzed: real images based on appearance, background, occupation etc., and images based on comparison, identification or likening to somebody or something (revised images)
