Аннотация: Рецензия на монографию Л. В. Балашовой «Русская метафора: прошлое, настоящее, будущее» (М. : Языки славянской культуры, 2014. — 496 c. — (Studia Philologica)). Рецензируемая монография — это, с одной стороны, своего рода итог многолетней деятельности автора, а с другой — концепция дальнейшего развития отечественной метафорологии. Диахроническое сопоставление политической метафорики направлено на рассмотрение взаимодействия тенденций к стабильности и динамике, к сохранению культурной самобытности и взаимодействию с другими культурами, к чередованию периодов интенсивного развития и периодов относительной стабильности. Стабильность, традиционность метафорической картины мира проявляется в том, что арсенал политических метафор имеет устойчивое ядро, которое сохраняется с глубокой древности. Метафору можно рассматривать в разных ракурсах, в том числе как способ познания и объяснения действительности. Л. В. Балашова обращается к истокам отечественной системы метафор, начиная от древней метафоризации движения и изменения, которую можно считать развитой уже в XI в., и, проходя сквозь эпохи, достигает нашего времени

Abstract: The article presents a review of the monograph by L.V. Balashova “Russian Metaphor: the Past, the Present and the Future” (Moscow: Languages of Slavic Cultures, 2014. – 496 p. (Studia Philologica)). The monograph under review is, on the one hand, a kind of result of the author’s many years of scientific activity; on the other hand, it presents a conception of further development of domestic metaphorology. The diachronic comparison of political metaphor is aimed at the study of interaction between the tendencies for stability and dynamics, for preservation of the cultural originality and interaction with other cultures, for alternation of periods of intensive development and times of relative stability. Stability and traditionality of the metaphorical worldview is manifested in the fact that the arsenal of political metaphors has a stable nucleus which has been kept in the language since ancient times. Metaphor can be studied from different angles, including its interpretation as a means of cognition and explanation of real facts. L.V. Balashova turns to the sources of the Russian system of metaphors, starting from the ancient metaphorization of movement and change which can be regarded as developed enough as early as in the 11th century and which, passing through epochs reaches our times
