Аннотация: Представлена палитра способов выражения социальной оценочности в языке современных российских СМИ — от буквы до приема языковой игры. Игровые возможности букв показаны на примере буквы «ѐ», вернувшейся в язык СМИ в новой функции. Традиционным способом выражения эмоциональной, оценочной окраски в русском языке является суффиксация, представленная суффиксами «-ец» и «-инг». Роль префиксации как способа выражения оценки демонстрируют инновации с префиксами «не-», «недо-». Логичным продолжением исследования игровых возможностей префиксации как способа словообразования служит переход к префиксации как приему языковой игры — заменительной префиксации

Abstract: The article presents an assortment of the means of the social expression in the language of the modern Russian Mass media starting with a letter and concluding with a means of the language play. The playful potential of letters is demonstrated with an example of the letter «ѐ» which is back to the Mass media language in its new function. In the Russian language one of the traditional ways to express emotional evaluation is suffixation represented by suffixes «-ец» and «-инг». The role of prefixation as a means of evaluation expression is demonstrated with innovations with prefixes «не-», «недо-». A study of the substitutional prefixation which appears a language play means seems to be a reasonable continuation of the investigation of the playful potential of prefixation as a method of word-formation
