Аннотация: Данная статья посвящена сопоставительному анализу прецедентного имени Тэтчер/Thatcher в англоязычном и русскоязычном медиапространстве. Цель статьи — выявление общих закономерностей и национальных особенностей функционирования прецедентного имени Тэтчер/Thatcher в российском и англоязычном медийном дискурсе. Описывается использование ПИ Тэтчер/Thatcher в денотативном и коннотативном значениях. Определяются дифференциальные признаки и смысловые компоненты прецедентного имени Тэтчер/Thatcher. Проведен семантический анализ с целью определения ядра информации на основе интернет-инструментов RusVectōrēs и WebVectōrēs, позволяющих исследовать отношения между словами в дистрибутивных моделях. В ходе исследования применялась методика исследования ПИ, объединяемых сферой-источником, одним из вариантов которой является анализ единичных ПИ. Материалом исследования послужили медиапубликации, представленные в англоязычном и русскоязычном медиапространстве. В рамках исследования были выявлены общие закономерности и национальные особенности функционирования прецедентного имени Тэтчер/Thatcher в российском и англоязычном медийном дискурсе. Особенностями употребления ПИ в англоязычном и российском медиадискурсе являются актуализация образа Железной леди, жесткого политика, человека, погубившего Англию; денотативное употребление прецедентного имени с указанием непосредственно на денотат; в российских СМИ прецедентное имя Тэтчер отражает идею силы. В результате проведенного анализа определено, что характерной чертой англоязычных и российских СМИ является денотативное употребление прецедентного имени

Abstract: This article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the precedent name “Thatcher” in English and Russian media space. The aim of the study is to identify common patterns and the national specificity of the functioning of the precedent name “Thatcher” in Russian and English-language media discourse. The article describes the use of the precedent name “Thatcher” in denotative and connotative meanings and reveals its differential features and semantic components. In addition, a semantic analysis was carried out in order to determine the core of information based on the Internet tools Rusvectōrēs and Webvectōrēs, which allow exploring the relationships between words in distributional models. In the course of the study, the authors used the method of investigation of precedent names united by the source domain, one of the variants of which is the analysis of unique precedent names. The research material includes media publications presented in the English- and Russian-speaking media space. Common patterns and the national specificity of the functioning of the precedent name “Thatcher” in the Russian- and English-language media discourse were identified within the framework of the study. The peculiarities of the use of the precedent name in the English and Russian media discourse are: actualization of the image of an Iron Lady, a tough politician, a person who ruined Britain; the denotative use of the precedent name with a direct reference to the denoted object; in the Russian media, the precedent name “Thatcher” reflects the idea of power. As a result of the analysis, it has been found that the denotative use of a precedent name is a characteristic feature of the Englishspeaking and Russian media
