Аннотация: Лингвополитическая прогностика — новое направление в исследовании политического дискурса, которое предполагает системное объединение положений прогностики, политологии и когнитивной лингвистики. Используя инструментарий прогностики, политологии и когнитивной лингвистики, лингвополитическая прогностика изучает модели и сценарии будущего, материалом для конструирования которых служат поисковые прогнозы авторов аналитических статей политического дискурса (прогностические политические тексты) различных хронологических срезов. Ключевой единицей познания является когнитивная метафора. В настоящей статье представлен фрагмент исследования ретроспективных моделей будущего России, выполненного в рамках лингвополитической прогностики на материале американского политического дискурса XIX века. Ретроспективная модель будущего представляет собой систему концептуальных допущений о положении дел в будущем России с точки зрения прошлого (1855—1881). Модель будущего не только позволяет представить альтернативы развития настоящей ситуации в развернутой форме, но и проникнуть в прошлое и изучить его, поскольку понимание политического дискурса предполагает знание фона, ожиданий автора и аудитории, скрытых мотивов, сюжетных схем и излюбленных логических переходов, бытующих в конкретную эпоху

Abstract: Linguistic political prognostics is a new synthesis of theories and conceptions of future proposed in future studies, political science and cognitive linguistics. Using tools of future studies, political science and cognitive linguistics, linguistic political prognostics studies models and scenarios of future based upon exploratory forecasts made by authors of political texts (prognosticating political text). Thus, the basic constituents of the methods are models of future and scenarios of future in the political discourse of different chronological periods. The central tool in any model and scenario is a cognitive metaphor. Models and scenarios are constructed for each historical period analyzed, they are used to get an idea of possible options for future development of society, helping to better understand the present and the past, the driving forces shaping the future. Models are based on the data obtained from a particular discourse of a certain c hronological period. The article presents a piece of the author’s approach to studying retrospective models of Russia’s future with the help of methods and tools of linguistic political prognostics. The material for the analysis is American political discourse of the XIXth century (1855—1881). The retrospective model analyzed in the article represents a system of conceptual assumptions concerning a hypothetic situation in Russia’s future from the standpoint of the past. To interprete this or that political discourse is to know its background, to understand expectations of the author and the audience, their hidden motives, plot schemes and favorite logic transitions typical of a paticular historic era
