Abstract: Modern politicians excessively use such characteristics of the language as flexibility of the word’s semantic structure, the difficulty in delimitating connotations from the central meanings, variations in these meanings and the meanings of one and the same linguistic signs, easy change of objective for subjective and vice versa; emphasizing synonymic and associative relations between words, modality of utterances, evaluative semantics and others. All these are examples of language abuse and not just a language game
