Abstract: The paper traces reflection of European history in Russian phraseological units of the English origin. Focus is on concept Europe both in the Russian political phraseology and international political terminology. Aim is to reveal linguistic and historical paths of popular Russian phrases concerning Europe and to present their navigation within historical phraseological space of Europe
