Аннотация: В работе рассматривается соотношение понятий этноса, нации и языка на примере языковой политики на Украине, выявляются понятийное содержание и функциональные позиции языковой идентификации и идентичности в процессе этнической идентификации. Материалом для исследования послужили данные фонда «Общественное мнение», Института Гэллапа, Института социологии Национальной академии Украины и Киевского международного института социологии о распространении и функциональном распределении русского и украинского языков в областных центрах Украины. Исследование осуществляется в опоре на лингвистический, социологический, психологический и сравнительный подходы к описанию языковой ситуации и языковой политики на Украине. Авторами детерминируются психологические, биологические, социологические и языковые факторы, оказывающие влияние на процесс этнический идентификации. Определяются модели пропаганды проукраинской самоидентификации. Приводятся данные об исторической цельности этнической территории современной Украины и выводится относительная неологичность этнонима «украинец» в современном понимании, появившегося в результате конвергенции российских малороссов и польских русинов. Одним из значимых выводов исследования является обоснование идеологичности как ведущего критерия построения концепта родного языка в текущий период приверженцами «украинства» на основе ложного фрейма «родной язык — язык этноса», когда полностью нивелируются статистические данные о преобладании русских как базовой этнической группы. Abstract: The paper examines the correlation of the concepts of ethnos, nation, and language on the example of the language policy in Ukraine and explores the conceptual content and functional positions of language identification and identity in the process of ethnic identification. The research material includes the data provided by the Public Opinion Foundation, the American Institute of Public Opinion, the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Ukraine and the Kiev International Institute of Sociology on the spread and functional distribution of the Russian and Ukrainian languages in the regional centers of Ukraine. The research is based on linguistic, sociological, psychological and comparative approaches to the description of the language situation and language policy in Ukraine. The authors determine the psychological, biological, sociological and linguistic factors that influence the process of ethnic identification and describe the models of propaganda of pro-Ukrainian self-identification. The authors provide information about the historical integrity of the modern Ukraine ethnic territory and demonstrate the illogical nature of the relatively new ethnonym “Ukrainian” in its contemporary interpretation, which appeared as a result of the convergence of Malorossy and Polish Rusyns. One of the significant conclusions of the study consists in the definition of ideological nature as the leading criterion for constructing the native language concept nowadays by the adherents of “Ukrainism” based on the false frame “native language is the language of the ethnos”, which completely rejects the statistical data on the predominance of the Russians as the basic ethnic group.
