Аннотация: Статья посвящена изучению метафорического образа грузинской полиции в российских СМИ. В основе методов настоящего исследования лежит теория концептуальной метафоры, метафорического моделирования, где метафора рассматривается как ключ к пониманию основ мышления. Кроме того, применялись метод интроспекции, дискурс-анализа, метод векторного таргетирования. Материалом для исследования послужили тексты, посвященные деятельности грузинской полиции, отобранные из электронных русскоязычных СМИ. Всего проанализировано около 400 метафорических контекстов. Содержательно-тематический анализ текстов, посвященных функционированию грузинской полиции, позволил выявить три ключевых локуса внимания: прошлое грузинской полиции, реформа МВД, грузинская полиция после реформы. Как показал анализ текстов, ряд метафорических образов обращен к прошлому — предлагается сравнение полиции с милицией времен правления Э. Шеварднадзе. Таким образом, выстраивая контраст с настоящим, метафоры формируют концептуальную оппозицию «прошлое — настоящее»: рассмотренные примеры демонстрируют, что оценка выводится в процессе сравнения. Метафорические образы, представляющие прошлое грузинской полиции, передают негативные ассоциации, усиливая позитивный образ грузинской полиции. Для концептуализации реформы используются различные метафорические модели, значительная часть которых передает смысловые составляющие, связанные с резкими переменами, кардинальным подходом. Анализ метафор, репрезентирующих образ грузинской полиции после реформы, позволяет выявить изменения смысловых, эмотивных составляющих, оценочных характеристик метафорических моделей. Настоящий анализ позволяет нам утверждать, что метафоры реагируют на перемены в стране, преобразования государственных структур. Изменяется содержание метафор: смысловое наполнение, аксиологическая составляющая, эмотивные компоненты

Abstract: The article studies the metaphorical image of the Georgian police in the Russian media. The research methods employed in this study are based on the theory of conceptual metaphor and metaphorical modeling, where metaphor is considered as a key to understanding the foundations of thinking. In addition, the methods of introspection, discourse analysis, and vector targeting were used. The material for the study includes texts about the Georgian police from electronic Russian-language media. In total, about 400 metaphorical contexts have been analyzed. A content-thematic analysis of the texts has revealed three key loci of attention: the past of the Georgian police, the police reform, the Georgian police after the reform. The analysis has shown that a number of metaphorical images are oriented to the past (a comparison is made of the present police with the militia of the government of E. Shevardnadze). Thus, building a contrast with the present, the metaphors form the conceptual opposition “the past — the present”. The examples under consideration demonstrate that the assessment is made as a result of the process of comparison. The metaphorical images representing the past of the Georgian police convey negative associations, reinforcing the positive image of the Georgian police. To conceptualize the reform, various metaphorical models are used, a significant part of which contains the semantic components associated with abrupt and dramatic change. The analysis of the metaphors representing the image of the Georgian police after the reform makes it possible to identify changes in the semantic and emotive components and evaluative characteristics of the metaphorical models. The analysis shows that metaphors are able to respond to change in the country and to the transformations of state structures.
