Аннотация: Статья посвящена легитимирующему потенциалу субъективной модальности в дискурсе региональных политиков Германии, министра-президента Баварии М. Зёдера, и России, губернатора Кемеровской области С. Цивилева. Приводится анализ средств реализации эпистемической модальности. Представлены результаты лингвистического интерпретационного эксперимента. Цель работы заключается в том, чтобы продемонстировать легитимирующий потенциал субъективной модальности на примере средств реализации эпистемической модальности как наиболее частотной в высказываниях политиков и при помощи лингвистического интерпретационного эксперимента определить тип субъективной модальности, обладающей персуазивным потенциалом с позиции рядовой языковой личности. Для достижения поставленной цели необходимо решить следующие задачи: выявить и сопоставить языковые средства выражения субъективной модальности, используемые региональными политиками Германии и России, и определить их персуазивное воздействие на адресата в ходе экспериментального исследования. Предмет исследования составили языковые средства выражения субъективной модальности в политическом интернет-дискурсе политиков. Для реализации поставленных задач использованы методы словарных дефиниций, семантического и контекстуального анализа, метод лингвистического эксперимента. Практическая значимость исследования состоит в возможности применения полученных результатов при разработке курса по политической лингвистике, при подготовке выступлений политика и повышении эффективности его общения с аудиторией. Результаты исследования и выводы: уровень доверия и поддержки со стороны граждан, качество коммуникации между властью и населением определяется легитимностью политической власти. Выявлены и проанализированы средства реализации эпистемической модальности в дискурсе политиков. В рамках эксперимента определены типы субъективной модальности, обладающие персуазивным потенциалом с позиции немецкоязычных и русскоязычных непрофессиональных участников политического дискурса

Abstract: The article deals with the legitimizing potential of subjective modality in the discourse of regional politicians of Germany, represented by Minister-President of Bavaria M. Söder, and of Russia, represented by Governor of Kemerovo region S. Tsivilev. The article analyzes the means of realization of epistemic modality and presents the results of a linguistic interpretation experiment. The aim of the article is to demonstrate the legitimizing potential of subjective modality on the example of epistemic modality realization means as the most frequent one in politicians' utterances and to determine the type of subjective modality possessing persuasive potential from the position of an ordinary linguistic person by means of a linguistic interpretation experiment. To achieve the set aim, it is necessary to perform the following tasks: to identify and compare the linguistic means of expressing subjective modality used by regional politicians in Germany and Russia and to determine their persuasive effect on the addressee in the course of the experimental study. The object of the research encompasses the linguistic means of expression of subjective modality in the political Internet discourse of the politicians. To complete these tasks, the study employs the methods of dictionary definitions, the method of semantic and contextual analysis, and the method of linguistic experiment. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying the results obtained in the development of a course on political linguistics, in the preparation of the politician’s speeches and the improvement of effectiveness of their communication with the audience. The study concludes that the level of trust and support on the part of the citizens and the quality of communication between the officials and the population is determined by the legitimacy of political power. The article has revealed and analyzed the means of epistemic modality realization in the political discourse. The experiment determines the types of subjective modality possessing persuasive potential from the position of the German- and Russian-language non-professional participants of political discourse
