Аннотация: Статья посвящена исследованию переводческой адаптации политической метафоры на материале перевода на русский язык доклада по случаю XX съезда КПК (далее — Доклад). Цель статьи — прояснить важность переводческой адаптации при переводе политических метафор, а также раскрыть переводческую стратегию перевода на русский политических метафор в Докладе и воплощенные с ее помощью коммуникативные намерения китайского правительства. В статье полностью описаны политические метафоры в Докладе и их переводные соответствия. На начальном этапе исследования в Докладе была выявлена 131 политическая метафора, все их мы охарактеризовали по типу и функции на основе модели классификации концептуальных метафор Дж. Лакоффа и М. Джонсона и классификации функций политических метафор А. П. Чудинова. Затем мы проанализировали способы перевода политических метафор в Докладе: буквальный перевод (сохранение метафор) и переводческая адаптация; последняя включает множество специфических методов трансформации. Наконец, были подготовлены статистические данные по методам перевода, результаты подсчетов показали: в 61 случае (46,6 %) наблюдается сохранение образов при переводе политических метафор в Докладе и в 70 случаях (53,4 %) — переводческая адаптация, что демонстрирует общую стратегию перевода политических метафор в Докладе — «адаптация как основной способ и сохранение метафор (буквализм) как дополнительный». В статье делаются выводы о том, что переводческая адаптация играет важную роль в межъязыковом и межкультурном переводе политических метафор; максимальное сохранение метафор и гибкая адаптация при переводе политических метафор на русский язык в Докладе отражают активные усилия, предпринимаемые китайским правительством в распространении информации о позиции Китая и в переходе китайско-российских отношений дружественного партнерства на новый уровень

Abstract: This paper studies translation adaptation of political metaphors based on the material of the Russian translation of the Report to the 20th CPC National Congress (hereinafter referred to as “the Report”). The aim of the study is to demonstrate the importance of translation adaptation while translating political metaphors, as well as to reveal the translation strategy of translating political metaphors into Russian and the communicative intentions of the Chinese government realized through it. This paper provides a full description of political metaphors in the Report and their translation equivalents. At the initial stage of the study, the authors extracted a total of 131 political metaphors from the Report. They were characterized based on G. Lakoff and M. Johnson's conceptual metaphor classification model and A. P. Chudinov's functional classification of political metaphors. Then, the authors analyzed the ways of translation of political metaphors in the Report: literal translation (preservation of metaphors) and translation adaptation; the latter includes a multitude of specific transformation methods. Finally, the authors prepared statistical data on the translation methods used in the Report. The results showed that in 61 cases (46.6%) the authors observed preservation of images and in 70 cases (53.4%) — translation adaptation, which demonstrates the general political metaphor translation strategy in the Report. This strategy can be summarized as “adaptation as the main method of translation and preservation of metaphors (literalism) as the additional one”. The study concludes that translation adaptation plays an important role in interlinguistic and intercultural translation of political metaphors; the maximum preservation and the flexible adaptation in the translation of political metaphors in the Report reflect the active efforts made by the Chinese government to proliferate information about the position of China and the transition of the friendly Sino-Russian partnership onto a new level
